Penns Valley Conservation Association (PVCA)

PVCA is a 250-household member organization established in 1993.  The Find it Here! Business Directory was originally developed by PVCA’s $low Money Economic Development Initiative.  The idea behind $low Money is bringing money back down to earth — helping dollars circulate many times over in our communities, rather than leaving for corporate headquarters far away.  In the same spirit, PVCA is now helping to develop the FM community radio station — WSOV, Sounds of the Valleys —  to celebrate our heritage, increase environmental awareness, honor the many wonderful local musicians and offer local businesses a way to increase their market presence thru sponsorships.

PVCA’s Mission is to serve as a steward for the natural and cultural communities in the Upper Penns Creek watershed. We seek to preserve and honor the agricultural roots of Penns Valley by protecting and conserving its waters, farmlands, forests and rural heritage.

PVCA’s Vision: We envision an engaged community, where growth is balanced with support for healthy natural systems that foster the local economy. Our valley has dark night skies, clear streams, healthy forests, prosperous farms, and local jobs.
