On the Farm: Pop-Corn Harvest!

Looking to add some PoP to your garden? Reserve some space for popcorn! It’s easy to grow and a delight to harvest.

On the farm, last year’s popcorn crop was a huge success, producing the best popcorn ever. (Really! Multiple taste-testers said so!) We planted several rows of popcorn again this year. A few days ago, when the sun shone brightly, the kids and I harvested the ears and removed the corn silks.

We pulled back the husks and laid the ears out to dry.

Some will be bundled together as Christmas gifts, and others will be stripped and stored for a year of movie nights…

By the way, what movie should we add to our Netflix queue this winter?Enjoy your home,

Oh, Erin, that is one of our all-time favorites. We’ll make a double batch of popcorn for that one! Now I have “The Hills Are Alive” stuck in my head… 🙂
