Here’s what I know about the upcoming week. Be sure to add your events to the Community Calendar and get the word out about all the great things going on in the Valley.
Start September with your preschooler by enjoying a Farm Animal Story Time at Centre Hall Library. 10:30 – 11 a.m.
Or, stretch your intellect and include a local book club into your calendar. The East Penns Valley Adult Book Club meets from 12:30 – 1:30 at the Millheim Borough Building.
Our kids have really enjoyed stopping in at the Centre Hall Library on LEGO days to build, title, and display their own LEGO creations. Stop over after school! 3:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Encourage your favorite 18 – 21 year old to get a job! The GET2WORK Youth Employment program is holding an open house from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. at the Millheim Borough Building. Stop by and find out how you can make some cash!
The Pub Hang at Elk Creek Cafe features Richard Sleigh + friends. Enjoy the sounds of the harmonica.
(In the meantime, learn how to play the harmonica yourself! Then share your talent at Old Gregg on Saturday night. Please note: this guy is NOT Richard Sleigh + friends. He’s just a guy teaching you how to play the harmonica.)
We have it on our calendar, do you have it on yours? The first home Penns Valley football game of the season! Kick-off is at 7 p.m. Go, Rams! (Look for PennsValleyFamily.com’s ad in the athletic booklet!)
Stop by Martin’s Feed & Fertilizer to enjoy the festivities of Customer Appreciation Day. This is a great local company that will bend over backwards to get you (and your chickens) what you need, when you need it. Even if you’re not in the market for feed or fertilizer, just stop by to see and support a local farm store.
Share your talent at the Open Mic Night at Old Gregg! Or, just sit back and enjoy the entertainment. Be sure to email [email protected] if you’d like to perform! The fun begins at 7 p.m.
Get your tickets for the The DIFIBULATORS at the Elk Creek Cafe. What you need to know:
