Happy Fall Y’all! This is one of the most beautiful seasons in the Valley and we want you to enjoy every minute of it. This week, we’ll be sharing one idea each day with lots of great give-aways to celebrate!
The (un)Official Penns Valley Fall Bucket List
#1. Go to the Penns Valley Homecoming Parade and Game! (Be sure to enter the Football Package Give-away)
#5. Stroll Muddy Paws Marsh
Right next to Spring Mills’ lovely Cooke Tavern on Route 45, sits a treasure: Muddy Paws Marsh. What a delightful place! With easily accessible parking, free entrance, and easy walking paths, this is a wonderful place to relax, exercise, or introduce children to their beautiful world.
Stroll the level paths (gravel, grass, and wood).
Enjoy the sounds and sights of nature. (On our mid-September visit, we spotted fish, geese, frogs, all kinds of insects, gorgeous fall plants, and a handful of apples.)
We brought water bottles, trail mix, and some easily portable field guides. The kids love to look at the colorful pictures and learn the names of the treasures we see.
Vivi busily jotted down the names of each plant and insect that she recognized. Here’s some milkweed!
I hope we’ll go back several times through the fall to watch nature change and prepare for the winter. I hope you’ll add this delightful walk to your 2013 Penns Valley Fall Bucket List.
Enjoy your home,
