We just returned from a wonderful vacation that included wooded trails in the Pocono mountains, sky scrapers in Chicago, and ocean waves in New Jersey. It was lovely. But there’s no place like home. I’m happy to be back and reacquainting with Penns Valley! How are you?
Everywhere we go, we bring our pile of books with us. Ryan’s happy to be reading the technical classic The Mythical Man-Month (He keeps saying “This is so good! Here, read this paragraph.” I read the paragraph and honestly feel like it’s written in a different language.) I’ve been working on Louisa May Alcott’s An Old Fashioned Girl, Ruth Beechick’s 3-part series about teaching children, and a book about marriage that my sister recommends. Vivienne just finished Little Women and is savoring every moment of A Little Princess. And Lia keeps finding a new favorite in our stack of easy readers.
BUT WE STILL HAVEN’T SIGNED UP FOR THE LIBRARY’S READING PROGRAM!
Have no fear. It’s never too late. I will do that right now.
1. I’ll go to the “Dig Into Reading” web page.
2. Then, I’ll click on “Sign up here”.
3. I’ll click the “Sign me up” button.
4. Sign Vivienne up. Click “Log Out”.
5. Then I’ll do steps 1 – 3 again and sign Lia up!
Whew. That’s done! Now we can get on with logging our books and hoping to win a prize or two. 🙂
Have you signed up for Summer Reading yet?
Enjoy your home,
