The Summer Reading Program at the Centre Hall and East Penns Valley (Millheim) Libraries encourages pre-K through 5th graders to enjoy reading through the summer. Here’s what you need to know:

CENTRE HALL AREA BRANCH LIBRARY:

June 20 from 2 – 4 p.m.: The fun begins at the Centre Hall library with a Summer Reading Kick-off Party. Activities include games, sidewalk chalk art, face painting, food, and more. Kids can help plant a flower garden along the library fence, decorate a watering can, and keep the garden watered each time you visit the library.

June 24: Sign up online for the reading program! Go to www.centrecountylibrary.org and click on the “Summer Reading” link. Then, choose the appropriate level, click “Sign Me Up!” and start logging your reading! (Or, stop by the library for some help.)

Plan to stop in the library regularly so you can check in at the main desk and receive your prize tickets. Then, your child can enter them for a fantastic prize.
