What’s Up This Week: 3/7 – 3/13


What does the weekend hold for Penns Valley besides the 60 degree day that the weather channel is forecasting? (Three Cheers for Spring!) Here are some highlights:

Thursday, March 7:

Don’t miss Sterling Moon’s folksy tunes at Elk Creek’s weekly Pub Hang!

Friday, March 8:

Get a good laugh at the Wise Crackers Comedy Night at the Centre Hall American Legion.

Saturday, March 9:

A yummy Roast Beef Dinner will be served at New Hope Lutheran Church of Spring Mills from 4:30 – 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome.

Sunday, March 10:

The Mazeppa Messengers will perform a special puppet show, entitled “Countdown to Easter” at Trinity United Church of Christ at 10:45 a.m.

BINGO Fundraiser to benefit Old Gregg School. Doors open at 3:30. Come with $10 for a ticket and your ears open for the winning combination! B-7! BINGO! (Of course, you’ll want to bring some extra cash for the Chinese Auction.)

Monday, March 11:

Spring your closets! Then, donate your gently used clothingand shoes at the Madisonburg UM Church from 6-8 p.m. (Look forward to the FREE clothing give-away on April 13th!)

Family Fun Night! Spend the evening together, crafting at the Millheim Borough Building. 

Tuesday, March 12:

Rail Trail Meeting: Have you been day-dreaming about a nice bike ride through Penns Valley? Or maybe you definitely don’t want to ride your bike through Penns Valley. Either way, you’ll want to attend this meeting to discuss the feasibility of a Rail Trail through Penns and Brush Valleys. 7 – 9 p.m.Enjoy your home,
