It’s a new week in Penns Valley! Here’s hoping it brings an end to the stomach bug that has been sending more pillows to the trash dump than I’d like to admit. (Any tips for restocking our pillow supply?)
Back to business. Some local highlights:
(As always, be sure to check the Community Calendar for a complete listing of local events. Did we miss something? You can always add your own event!)
LEGO/ Duplo Club at Centre Hall Library: Everyone’s invited to tinker with the library’s awesome stash of LEGOs and Duplo blocks from 3:00 – 3:30 p.m. We’ve seen some pretty impressive designs from the Penns Valley kiddos! The library keeps the creations on display for two weeks.
Book Detectives Homeschool Program: The youngsters in this program are using literary techniques that I didn’t learn until I was in high school. This month, we’ll be discussing the fascinating book The Indian in the Cupboard. 11:30 – 1:30 at the Millheim Borough Building.
FISH FRY: The Aaronsburg Civic Club is whipping up a delicious meal of Baked or Fried Haddock, Baked Macaroni, Stewed Tomatoes, Green Salad, Apple Sauce and Dessert from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m at the Aaronsburg Community Building. That sounds delicious! Find more information here.
The Opening Night of Annie: You remember the adorable little girl with red, curly hair, don’t you? Well, Penns Valley High School is performing the play this weekend! Purchase your tickets here. Just knowing the play was coming up this weekend, I was belting this out in the kitchen just the other day. Maybe it’ll get stuck in your head, too:
Closing night of Annie: Whether you’re returning for a second viewing or were chowing down at the Aaronsburg Fish Fry the night before, tonight’s your night to see Penns Valley’s spring musical.Enjoy your home,
