Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas: Penns Valley Gift Guide! Each day, from November 26 – December 7, we’ll be highlighting a local business where you might find “just the right” treasures to give friends and family. Let’s give back to our community this Christmas: buy local!
This event is small, local business at its best.
A friend of mine makes and sells “Themed Gift Baskets by BJ” and decided to gather other local crafters to host their own Craft Open House this coming weekend. I love how their event dovetails with Merry Millheim, so you can stop by the Open House at 372 Manor Road, Centre Hall, on your way into town. Invite your friends and family to stop by as well!
I’ll be stopping by because the adults in my extended family will be doing a unique Pollyanna this year: we’ll be exchanging Local Gift Baskets. The bounty will be coming in from all over Pennsylvania – the city, the country, and the mountains. (We try to come up with something new every year. I keep suggesting that we repeat my idea from a few years ago – “Write a Poem for a Special Someone” – but none of the guys seem to be overly enthusiastic about doing that one again. Ever.)
If you go:
December 7th: 4:30 – 9:00 p.m.
December 8th: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Look for: Themed Gift Baskets by BJ, Homemade Apple Dumplings, Tastefully Simple goodies, Celebrating Home, Unique License Plate Purses, Crafts, Scarves, and more!
(I had a chance to stop by and take a peak at BJ’s baskets… they’re fantastic! Very reasonably priced and are packed full of goodies. Whether you’re looking for holiday, PSU, romantic, sports, or children themes, you’re sure to find a basket that suits your gift list perfectly!)
So, if you’re out-and-about this weekend, stop in and visit the small, local businesses at 372 Manor Road.
Check out the other 12 Days of Christmas businesses: Valley Ag & Turf, Brookvale Gift Shop, Penns Valley Jewelers and Cottage Rose Interiors, Weaver’s Store, and The IngleBean Coffee House, and Tannenbaum Farms.
Enjoy your home,
