Library Story Time: Owls (For folks with little ones.)

This week’s story time at Centre Hall Library is all about owls. Here are some suggestions to carry the theme through the week:

1. Take a trip over to Shaver’s Creek. This outing is very worthwhile. Pack a lunch and prepare to stay for a while. You’ll observe many beautiful owls, eagles, and other birds of prey. You’ll play in the dress-up attic and touch claws, wings, and other natural specimen in the hands-on exhibits. On a beautiful fall day, you can’t ask for a better place to mosey around and enjoy Pennsylvania’s natural world.

2. Check out these simple and memorable crafts connecting the letter “O” with Owls!

3. Enjoy some of our favorite books about owls!

4. And, of course, enjoy a tootsie pop while asking…

Enjoy your home,
