Spelling Sensations

As the kiddos are settling into school and cranking out lists of spelling words, why not try some of these fun ways to prepare them for test day:

* spray a blob of shaving cream onto a plastic placemat and trace the words

* trace the words onto the bathroom mirror after a steamy shower

* using a window marker, write the words backwards on the inside window so that the neighbors can read your work

* roll out some play-doh, and etch the words into the dough with a toothpick

* spell your words with Scrabble tiles

* while the weather is still nice, grab the last nubbins of sidewalk chalk and decorate your driveway with your words
